ATTENTION!
Hello again. First off congratulations to the Los Angeles Lakers for winning the NBA Championship in 5 games. Great games and most certainly will give the Orlando Magic something to think about all summer long.
The San Diego Comic Con is now just about 6 weeks away. This year should be interesting in what offerngs there are. DC Direct has certainly come up with a novel approach to pissing off collectors with thier 5 figures for 5 days program. I'm glad that I'm not only not a DC Direct fan but also I don't care about The Green Lantern. They can choke on those figures.
This column is devoted to 2 vinyl figures from Kidrobot. Now I haven't purchased much from them in the past few years but this Sgt.Robot by David White is very cool indeed. He comes with a heavy duty helmet that actually fits! There is a groove in the helmet to accomodate the mohawk like hair he has. The rubber strap also fits perfectly without fear of breakage! The good Sgt. also comes with a bird of peace as well as a bitchin bazookz. These 2 figures were limited to 500 per color and are SOLD OUT. Take a look.

There really isn't too much to say about this figure other then, OH MY GOD IT'S UNBELIEVEABLE! Hot Toys is now the pre eminent 12" figure maker. There is NO ONE ELSE in their category. Each figure they make seems to top the previous one and The Godfather is no exception. From the wicked cool box with the sillouette of the Don in red, to the really great office background. Inbetween you get the chair in which the Don sees his visitors, a rose for his lapel, fedora, interchangeable hands with veins and liver spots as well as a nice glass of vino. You also get a nice companion book with facts and pictures.
There are few words to describe this cool figure other then great, superb and just unbelieveablly lifelike. Great job Hot Toys/Sideshow.

May 23, 2009 MEMBERSHIP KIT FOR 3A COLLECTORS CLUB
Hello again. Happy Memorial Day weekend. I hope you take a moment to remember those that have served and continue to serve in our Armed Forces. Freedom has never come at a cheap price. Today, it is the same. This country has thousands of brave men and women who serve here and around the globe. Some in places we don't even know about. Without thier sacrifice we wouldn't be free to do what we do. Thank you one and all for your bravey.
This afternoon we take a look at the 3A Membership kit. It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Ashley Wood and his vinyl robots and cool 12 inch figures. Well I had the chance to sign up to be a part of the Collector's Club and I am very happy I did. I get a 15% discount on product, a 24 hour heads up to order AND THE coolest membership kit I have ever received. The box has a raised WWR Robot design, a personlized membership card, a Tee shirt and of course the first downsized vinyl robot from Ash which has my membership number on it!
The robot comes with a gattling gun, ammunition and enough articulation to satisfy and collector! Being a fan of this company is not a cheap undertaking. I have decided to pass on a lot of product from other companies to be able to afford the many offerings from 3A. As an example I will be ordering a 10 pack of Square robots in about 24 hours!!!! Yipee...can't wait. Take a gander at this kit.
