eFX NEWS: CONCEPT DARTH VADER HELMET
eFX Introduces Darth Vader Concept Helmet,Based on Designs by Ralph McQuarrie

Signed by Star Wars Artist, Digitally Sculpted Helmet*Goes on Sale Monday, Feb. 8
One of the most unique Star Wars collectibles ever designed will be available to fans beginning Monday, Feb. 8, when eFX Inc. introduces the Ralph McQuarrie Signature Edition Darth Vader Concept Helmet.

It's a 3-D version of Darth Vader as he's never been seen on screen, as this extraordinary helmet brings to reality what until now has existed only in the lavish production illustrations created by McQuarrie during the development of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Only 250 of these lavishly detailed helmets û which can be separated into three pieces û will be produced worldwide.
Affectionately dubbed "McVader" by developers at eFX, the helmet was created from one of those original concept sketches chosen by McQuarrie û and brought to life by digital sculptor Jay Kushwara exclusively for eFX. "He'S captured the true sinister essence of the Darth Vader that Ralph McQuarrie envisioned in his original sketch,ö said Bryan Ono, president of eFX, which also produces limited-edition, collectible replicas inspired by classic Disney movies and by Star Trek.
Pre-orders for the Darth Vader Concept Helmet from eFX will begin at 9 a.m. Pacific time (12 p.m. Eastern) on Monday, Feb. 8. The retail price for the helmet is $899, plus shipping and handling, and a non-refundable deposit of $250 will be required at the time of pre-order. The balance will be due when the Darth Vader Concept Helmet is ready to ship, which is estimated to be in late May.
Due to the extremely limited worldwide edition size of 250 pieces, eFX will limit orders to two helmets during the first 48 hours of availability.
