Randy here.

One the downfalls to going to Toy Fair on the spur of the moment, is that you haven’t RSVP’d to many events.  Such was the case with Diamond Select, as they were doing tours only by appointment. But Zach and Chuck were able to get me in for a brief look, which I very much appreciate.

The going on 14 years now and Mimimates show know sign of stopping! The ALIENS and Predator series are looking sharp, with the APC warming my heart (and I’m not a big fan of mini figures). The Mimimates will also be bring the first Marvel Netflix figures of Daredevil, Wilson Fisk, Foggy Nelson, Jessica Jones, Claire and others to come!

The Ghostbusters figures are continuing with plenty of series to come. The first serious of Louis, Ray, and Winston are already hitting, Series 2 consisting of Egon & Spenger. And with nearly dozen figure being promised, I’m happy to see characters like Gozer, Dana, Janine, and Peck are coming out.  As a great incentive to get all the figures, each will come with a piece to build the rooftop!  That’s a pretty damn impressive display, or in the words of Dr. Peter Venkman, “Well, there’s something you don’t see every day.”

The Muppets are back! Having been a fan of the series done in the early 2000′s, I’m happy to see that Diamond Select has them coming back to stores! Series 1 will consist of Fozzie with Scooter, Gonzo with Camilla, and Kermit with Robin and Bean Bunny; Series 2 will be made up of Animal comes with his drum kit, scientist Bunsen Honeydew with his assistant Beaker, and  Statler and Waldorf come with chairs and a balcony! Look for these in Spring & Summer 2016!

The Star Trek line of figures continue with the classic villain Khan Noonien Singh! The extra limbs will allow for extra positioning of Khan in the captain’s chain of the USS Reliant! VERY nice.

One of the coolest looking figures lines there, I was unable to take photos due to the licensor’s request… Pulp Fiction! Now Diamond Select had previous tried to do action figure scale figures from the classic film in 2014, but to no avail. This time, they were showing PLENTY of figures in the line, 9 if memory service, with the first line to (likely) still consist of Jules, Butch, and Marcellus, hopefully by the end of 2016.  The Kill Bill action figure line also is making progress towards approval.

More to come!

Be seeing  you!
