Hello from New York City. Traveling always has it’s ups and downs. The up part was that I made it into the Con Thursday before opening. I got some great pictures before the hords came in. The down part is that I have no wifi in the apartment I was lucky enough to stay in! So, I took today, Saturday, off so I could spend some time in the coffee shop across the street to post up some columns. If you haven’t been to the NYCC I suggest you make some plans to do so! If you’re into main stream movie coverage don’t bother. However, if you’re in to comics, artists and cool toys this is the place to be. This Con has grown tremendously in the past few years and the really nice part about the venue it’s in, The Javitt’s Center, is that it has plenty of room to expand. Unlike the SDCC which continues to tell you that they’re going to some day expand (LOLOLOLOL) the Javitt’s Center can easily accomodate this convention and more.
Up first is Yes Anime/Play Imaginative’s SUPER ALLOY figures. Hands down the best and coolest display at the show. If I had unlimited funds I would buy every Iron Man figure they make. The sculpts are right on. They’re all made of super articulated die cast have vibrant colors and the packaging is stellar! You haven’t heard of these before? Well take a look at the pictures to follow. I’m certain you’ll like what you see.
Thanks for reading!
