TOY FAIR 2013: FOUR HORSEMEN POWER LORDS AND GOTHROPOLIS! AND CLOSING THOUGHTS

So another Toy Fair has come and gone. Getting there this year was certainly a challenge with Blizzard Nemo causing traffic chaos. I only missed one event and that was Hasbro’s. I asked about getting in on another day just to shoot as quickly as I could but unfortunately they didn’t or couldn’t accomodate that request. No matter, we got the press kit and I could care less about what they make anyway. 6 inch Star Wars figures? $20.00 per? I’ll pass on that.

Mattel had quite a bit of WWE but I was surprised at the lack of DC they had. Last year it was all about 2013. Well I didn’t see that much to get me excited. They were in a tizzy over the MOTU Castle. For $275.00 it was a big hunk of plastic for sure. How many collectors will actually take it out and display it will be the question of the day. Pass on that.

I saw NECA, great stuff coming. Funko had quite a bit of cool small figures coming out. They’ll be blind boxed so the question will be what the pack out ratio is.

McFarlane was in attendance. They’re Walking dead, Halo and sports figures are still tops in their part of the market.

I could go on but all in all the most exciting lines I saw was The Four Horsemen bird line. Now that looks cool and Diamond Selects Mini Mates and Star Trek fair. How many more Toy Fairs I’ll attend is a mystery for me. It’s expensive to go but I love New York.

Here is the Four Horsemen Power Lords and more. Thank you so much for reading and the comments. Keep them coming. It’s for you we do this!

The Four Horsemen birds look at least as good as the Scarabus figures from their Gothtropolis line. Out of all the stuff I display, I think my Scarabus Anubos figure gets the most comments and the most “Whoa! What is THAT?!?” type of remarks. Looking forward tremendously to their new stuff, and to ThreeA’s.
