Well the SDCC came and went again. I hope I brought back enough coverage of the companies you are interested in. I’ll be honest here. It’s rough trying to cover the whole Con by yourself. It was unfortunate that Doc Owen couldn’t make it due to prior obligations. I was unfortunate enough to have my press pass screwed up by the SDCC but was very fortunate enough to obtain an Exhibitor’s Pass so I could get in very early and shoot the booths. Once the hoards came in it became pretty much impossible to get good shots. There was a lot of stuff I passed on shooting because I just didn’t care about it. Other stuff I just plain missed because I bailed on going Saturday and Sunday. That is a zoo. I had a great time though while I was there. The BEST booth by far was DKE! They had more stuff for sale there than anyone. I am so happy that I was able to buy my Scott Wilkowski art resin figures. Pictures shortly. 3A’s booth was relatively calm as compared to last year as they pre sold their exclusives. I officially hate IDW for how they screwed me and many others on the exclusive 3A Zombie. I will never spend money there again! All in all it was ok. It is still way too crowded. There are still too many security personel that don’t their jobs and of course $12.00 for a hamburg and a soda is always infuriating. The schedule now is October for the NYCC, November for the Designer Con here in SoCal and than the biggy in February for Toy Fair. I want to personally thank all of you who read the site. Without you there would be no reason to do this. I am planning a very special Christmas for readers who have been around for a long time or those that just send in comments. That is not a license to go nuts! Just my way of trying to clean out the warehouse of samples I have accrued and of saying thank you. Try getting that at other sites. In the mean time here is what I have left on my drive from the show. I managed to get a wicked cold and I haven’t the energy to break it down. Thanks again from the bottom of my black heart. You guys and girls are the best!

See you soon,

Great job as always, TG, despite this year’s obvious tribulations. I’ve always wanted to go to Comic Con, but as I get older, it seems the con gets crazier and more crowded while my health gets worse and worse. It may be on my bucket list, but short of a miracle (or a drastic change in venue) I don’t think I’ll ever get Comic Con to work out for me. The reason I say all this is to let you know how appreciative I am of the coverage you give. You really hit the things I would want to see and do if I was able to go. I wasn’t kidding when I said in another comment somewhere that you are my vicarious trip to Comic Con. Yeah, I’d love to go for the loot and the exclusives and the chance to see the Firefly or Big Bang Theory casts at a panel, but it an’t gonna happen for me, except through you, and I’m grateful. Thanks.

I had a feeling that you might be the only one at the Con from AFT this year. Nonetheless, you pulled off an amazing one man show. Thanks for all the hard work you do. Get well!

I for one appreciate all that you do and have done! I think you and AFT are the only one of my “Favorites” that covered the FX Show featuring the industry’s top mask and prop makers for my favorite holiday, halloween….and I know your the only one that features booth babes and attention whores, a subject near and dear to alot of our hearts. I Love the fact that you cover the “other stuff” that other sites don’t, like movie props, 3a, Sideshow, Hot Toys and other 1/6 lines, along with the normal Marvel and DC offerings. But my favorite part of AFT is the close knit group of strangers that would do anything for one another based solely on the comradery that we have developed together on this site!
Keep up the Good fight Toygodd, you’ve had my attention from the start!

    HI GJ,

Thanks so much for the kind words. All of us here continue to do this because it’s fun. Sometimes it’s hard to know if anyone is “listening”. I was sort of bummed out about being ignored in the Designer Toy Awards but than decided f them! Our readers rock. Keep on listening as there is a lot coming. Thanks to all of you. You made my day.
